Rare Ottoman Inlaid Bench Attributed to Liberty & Co

A rare and elegantly executed Ottoman bench with a rectangular seat finished in ebony, chequered stringing and inlaid mother of pearl (nacre) banding. The central design is beautifully inset with mother of pearl stars and the tughra emblem, the calligraphic insignia or seal of the reigning Sultan.
Flanked by a pair of straight arm supports further embellished with mother of pearl stars. A chevron design runs along the edges of the whole piece and it is raised on a segmented frieze decorated with ebony and mother of pearl inlay over Moorish arched heads extending to form the eight legs.
Fabulous condition, unique patina.
