A very distinctive early 20th Century solid oak French pedestal desk discovered in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Three lockable drawers with bronze handles set in a carved frieze, over twin side-locking cupboards flanked by pilasters, with carved thistle motifs to the recessed panel doors. Original key operates all of the locks.

In fine condition, retaining a lovely deep, rich colour with good proportions and useful size.
