Having loved drawing from an early age, I followed my passion and completed a degree in illustration at Norwich School of Art. Since then I have worked mainly on commissions in a variety of subjects from landscapes to pets.

Trees are one of my favourite subjects to paint as I love to interpret the way light and shade fall across them. I also love painting chickens, particularly the feathers, and there are so many great shades and colours to play with. I mainly work in acrylics on canvas or board, although I sometimes also work in pencil.

One of my early career challenges and unusual achievements was painting a pub sign which is still hanging in Covent Garden! Amongst the commissions, I continue to paint new subjects and gain inspiration from the many landscapes that living in Devon has to offer.
