A delightful Arts and Crafts student bureau in solid quarter sawn oak. Having a fall front with strikingly decorated brass strap hinges and handle, beneath a three quarter gallery fret cut with a characteristic heart motif to the curved back rail. Opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeonholes, above a two shelved open bookcase base, raised on shaped bracket feet.
Very much in the style of Liberty & Co and Harris Lebus, a quality piece with a lovely honey colour. Its slim footprint makes it neat and practical for use in the modern home, the opened bureau being large enough to accommodate a laptop!
Very good original colour and condition, with some marks and wear.
