A very attractive Edwardian table top dinner gong in Art Nouveau style. Good quality, heavy solid brass with a brass handled beater. Satisfying “bong”.
It bears the impressed “Burmese” stamp of William Suckling & Co of 35 Albion Street, Birmingham. Noted electroplate and specialist gong manufacturers, the company produced well made designs often in Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts styles.
