A small yew “dresser” stool, probably made in Worksop, Nottinghamshire around 1880.
These miniature stools are believed to have been made by chairmakers in the town for their own use, rather than for sale, intended either to be purely ornamental or as a stand for displaying a prized piece of pottery on a dresser or sideboard.

Width (top): 20 cm (approximately 8 inches)
Depth (top): 13 cm (approximately 5 inches)
