A charming small Damascus hardwood tripod table, inlaid with mother of pearl (nacre) and silver wire.

Robust and usable condition with some small losses, retaining a lovely patina. Ideal size for a glass of wine or a cuppa.

Most likely imported by Liberty & Co, being shown in an “Arabian” room setting by Leonard Wyburd in their Art Furniture catalogue (1884), and (complete with teacup and saucer) in a selection of “Saracenic” inlaid tables and stands on page 27 of their 1897 Yuletide Gifts catalogue.
