A fine quality Arts and Crafts style two piece sideboard in solid quarter sawn English oak.

The upper section features a shelf and small central cupboard under a moulded cornice. Its lockable door (with original key) is glazed with characteristic foliate stained leaded glass. This flanked by a recessed panelled back, with two beautiful repoussé copper panels in a stylised tulip design. All surmounting a beveled back mirror, flanked by sinuous brackets. Lower case with two fitted drawers with recessed storage below and two panelled doors, all with attractive decorative hardware. Panelled sides.

In excellent solid condition, with great patina. Only minor surface ring stains to the right hand upper shelf and minimal foxing to the mirror, giving great character.

A beautiful and useful piece.
