A distinctive matched pair of Arts and Crafts Movement low fireside or nursing chairs.

Solidly made in dark stained beech with stick backs and central wheeled splats in ash, incorporating heart motifs, more often seen on Windsor style chairs. Good cane seats with a small, barely noticeable loss to the front of each. Still very useable as occasional, hallway or bedroom chairs.
