Bear Clay Ceramics

Carol Parkes is a talented emerging ceramicist living and working in Bishop’s Cleeve, Gloucestershire.

She is entirely self-taught and specialises in wildlife sculptures.  Pieces are all individually crafted in stoneware clay, not made in a mould, then glazed and fired to 1280 degrees and are suitable for both homes or gardens. Many of her creatures feature as many as eight different glazes to produce beautifully lustrous finishes.
