Amanda Woods
Stained Glass Artist
Amanda works in stained glass having studied at the Stroud College of Art. She is passionate about keeping this heritage craft alive and uses traditional methods, tools and materials.
Stained glass panels are cut and are leaded in the traditional way. Smaller art pieces are copper foiled and soldered in the Tiffany style. Amanda designs bespoke stained glass windows and restores salvaged antique and vintage windows. She also creates small art panels and suncatchers. Her artwork often features hand painted and kiln fired pieces inspired by nature that are incorporated into stained glass pictures. This glass art is designed to be hung at a window so that the light shines through the glass, throwing beautiful light refractions.
Amanda works out of her garden studio in the pretty Cotswold village of Marshfield near Bath. She has an international client base with commissions going to many countries including France, Switzerland and the USA.
