Cornish Abscape Artist
What I paintI call my works “Abscapes” - abstract landscapes. The landscape is my muse and is always present in my work.
Why I paint
I was born and raised in Kent, where I studied Art at Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone Colleges. I gained my degree in Graphic Design, and went on to spend 30 years in advertising in London. However, I always found time to paint and exhibited in many one man and group shows in London and the Home Counties.
After leaving the advertising business, I went to live in France for five years, where I painted and exhibited in group shows and galleries in Le Mans. On my return to England, I was drawn to Cornwall, like many artists before me, where I now live and work, and make graphic use of the varied landscape.
How I paint
I work in several media, but mainly in oil on board.
